Generating Good Thoughts

Yes while you were brewing your coffee, turning on every light in the house, watching the morning news, brushing your teeth with flowing water I was trying to figure out how I could power my laptop to write you a note! Let me tell you it is not a cake walk here in the south of Ethiopia. I am now 4 full days without power and water. But God has given me the grace to love camping! Even if it is in my own apartment. I am using solar panels to charge my cell phone & rechargeable batteries to power my flashlights at night.

For my dinners I use my propane tank & stove to cook it up.  Today I needed desperately to use this computer so I pulled out my generator, filled it with oil & fuel & it started generating power! Needless to say it also generated good thoughts in this brain of mine. I am headed into the bush this week so please pray for safety & fruitful meetings with locals. I’m ecstatic to see all of our new brothers & sisters in Christ.

I would also like to mention that my aunt Mary made these beautiful scarves & when my neighbors saw them they fell in love! Looks like I will be parting with most of them. I caught a snapshot before they ran away with them!

These ladies have helped me to get healthy everytime I have come down with “something” – you world travellers know what I mean! They will never know how much they have helped me. They are a definite gift from God.

Goodnight All!
