Ready Set Go!
Hello Friends!
In 6 short days I will be returning to Ethiopia! It has been a great time to be refreshed in my spirit. I’ve met many new friends & worshipped in several churches over the last 2 months. But it’s now time to return to Africa where my heart calls home.
It’s time to go play soccer with my kids again! The small sports program we launched before I left had over 200 children attend on our first Saturday! One ball, one pump & some amazingly patient kids. But it’s not like they can run back to the hut & play with the ipad or anything electronic. That’s why this program attracts so many little guys. It is the main event!
Jinka Sports Program
These boys & girls have so much energy it’s contagious! We are teaching them Godly character through sports & many have now started attending our bible story program on Saturday mornings. Muslim, Orthodox, Animists all coming together to play soccer! God is good!
Please pray with me that Ethiopian Christians will see the value of children & the importance of teaching them God’s ways and word! One look at those smiles & you know God is doing something great 🙂
